Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched online applications for its 2025 housing schemes, including the Anant Nagar Housing Scheme, offering affordable plots and flats for various income groups. With a transparent first-come, first-serve process, the initiative aims to provide modern housing to 1.5 lakh citizens, prioritizing economically weaker sections.
LDA Unveils Online Registration for 2025 Housing Schemes
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has opened online registrations for its 2025 housing schemes, with the flagship Anant Nagar Housing Scheme leading the initiative. Launched on April 4, 2025, by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the scheme targets 1.5 lakh citizens across Lucknow, offering affordable housing options for economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and middle-income groups (MIG). The online portal, accessible at registration.ldalucknow.in, streamlines the application process, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
The Anant Nagar Housing Scheme, spread over 785 acres along Mohaan Road, features a modern grid-based layout inspired by Chandigarh and Panchkula. In its first phase, LDA offered 334 residential plots in Sector 6 (Adarsh Khand) at approximately ₹41,000 per square meter. The response was overwhelming, with 13,031 applications received by May 5, 2025, averaging nearly 39 applicants per plot. A lottery for these plots was conducted on June 10, 2025, at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar, ensuring a fair and transparent allocation process. Applicants were given a correction window until June 4, 2025, to rectify errors in their forms.
The scheme includes 10,000 flats across 60 group housing plots, with 5,000 units reserved for EWS and LIG, accommodating over 25,000 people. Additionally, 3,000 houses are allocated under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and 4,000 residential plots are planned to house 20,000 residents. The township will also feature 120 commercial plots, 130 acres of green spaces, and a 100-acre Edutech City for educational facilities, aiming for a sustainable urban ecosystem. The project, with an estimated investment of ₹7,000 crore, incorporates modern infrastructure like underground cabling and a zero-liquid discharge system.
Another key initiative, the Vishram Nagar Housing Scheme, targets Kabir Nagar and Devpur Para, offering 2,502 residential units for EWS, LIG, and MIG groups. The application process for this scheme is set to begin in June 2025, with infrastructure work expected to be completed by May 2025. Each unit will include essential amenities like water supply, electricity, and waste management systems.
To apply, citizens must visit the LDA’s official portal, select “Register as applicant,” enter personal details, and verify via OTP. The application fee for schemes like Avadh Vihar Yojana is ₹1,180. Eligibility criteria include being a permanent resident of Lucknow for the Anant Nagar scheme and belonging to the EWS category for specific units. The first-come, first-serve (FCFS) policy ensures equitable distribution, with applicants urged to apply promptly to secure their spot.
LDA’s online system eliminates the need for physical visits, reducing paperwork and enhancing accessibility. The portal also allows applicants to track their application status and make payments digitally. LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar emphasized the use of advanced construction technology to expedite high-rise development, aiming to complete projects ahead of schedule. The authority’s broader vision includes four new schemes—Wellness City, IT City, Educational City, and Prabandhnagar—set to commence land acquisition, further expanding Lucknow’s urban infrastructure.
